I am a poet and a writer. Pennsylvania, California and Quebec have all been my homes. My husband is British; I was born in Mississippi. We  have groundhogs, skunks and baby rabbits in our backyard. The scent of lilies-of-the-valley delights me.
     A strong feminist, I also care deeply about the environment.  Other interests include the rights of people with mental illnesses, and how to best educate children with learning disabilities. I hate racism and rigidness of thought.
     Montreal is my favorite city.
     A dual citizen (American/Canadian), I follow international news and politics. The U.S. needs a social healthcare system like Canada has.
