What Gives Me Hope the gentleness of Jesus, the kindness of St Francis of Assissi, the dedication to peace of Mahatma Ghandi (Ahimsa) and the compassion of so many people in the world
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by make greening areas in towns for people to enjoy nature; teach children to respect God's creation and all creatures great and small; have banners saying "today there will be random acts of kindness by all people in this town". I would make opportunities for people to participate creatively in age-old crafts, music etc. Abolish lonliness - welcome the old, the disfigured, the disabled, the disadvantaged to enjoy the beauty of the countryside and life.
What/who changed my life and why Jesus - his gentleness and kindness towards people and animals, St Francis of Assissi - his love of animals and simple living, and Mahatma Ghandi for his pacifist stance for peace and non-violence.
What Bugs Me cruelty to animals and children, Those who hurt others weaker than them, The destruction of rural areas, People claiming friendship that are not!, Litter Bugs!!, intolerance, injustice, hypocrisy, abusive people, bullying
