About Me	I'm an Aquarius, a Rabbit, and a Cedar Tree. I'm assertive, intelligent, and compassionate. I'm a former 9-1-1 dispatcher, so I can multi-task and handle a lot. My father-in-law says I'm a bird dog, walking dictionary, and walking computer. My husband's uncle says I'm a coffee bean. I support women's rights, children's rights, the rights of adoptees and adoptive parents to medical and biological information (and other adoption rights), foster parent rights, freedom of speech, and several other causes. I believe in strong people standing up for people who are incapable or unable to stand up for themselves; and for strong people to stand with people who are outnumbered and possibly not loud enough to be heard. I don't get along well with people who think I'm stupid because I'm female or people who have to wear their cranky bch tiaras all of the time. I can be a rightous bch in my own regard, but usually only when I have a reason. I would like to seriously maim pedophiles and rapists, and this is part of why I no longer work in law enforcement. I also have a very hard time dealing with wife beaters or people who berate women verbally (including on Care2). Just because I am female and have opinions does not make me crazy - and it also does not automatically mean that I am suffering from PMS. I have a brain. If this bothers you, why are you even reading this profile? Politically, I'm an "unaffiliated" voter with several leftist tendencies. On a few things (usually crime & punishment) I lean to the right. It really depends on the issue. I am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils and would prefer to vote for a good candidate for a change. I like people who are REAL, not plastic. You don't have to agree with me on any issues, but be willing to agree to disagree and get along anyway. I get along with my right wing father-in-law, who tends to be a bit of a chauvanist, very well - we just agree to disagree, and he doesn't try to force his viewpoints on me. I don't try to force anything political on him, either. As far as the chauvanism...I work on that furtively. :) If you'd like to be friends, great - please send an intro of some kind first or make sure we have conversed or have some groups in common. I don't make friends with other people according to who is on their friend list, how big their friend list is, or how many groups they host. I make friends on an individual basis.
