Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
I am ultra-sensitive to any mistreatment of the weak or innocent! I champion those without a voice who cannot defend themselves. I am eccentric but I think the world needs a few of us as we feel passion and purpose when others give up. I hurt physically when I see an animal in need. I choose to still stay in the midst of the cast aside, the forgotten, the unwanted and unloved. I belong there. I don't understand how people can turn away from such need! I don't want to understand. It's when its the most unlikely, the most inopportune, the biggest inconvenience and the most painful to witness that we shouldn't turn away but jump in and help. Even if you know you're going to loose! That's me!
I can ride on moving cars and have never been thrown off but once.
My Philosophy
the Golden Rule
What Gives Me Hope
When I look into the eyes of one unwanted soul and see the sparkle of their recognition of my love for them and the knowledge that I'll never quit.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
fire all other officials because the best crooks are in government!
What/who changed my life and why
Brandy - my Teacher Went to Rainbow Bridge on August 20th, 2008
In Dedication to her .......as she was a great teacher and my WONDERFUL friend!
A poem I wrote .....
As I walked home this summer day
As in the days before,
I remember her sitting all alone
Lost, I thought, for sure.
I knew, in fact, quite clearly
How it feels to loose your way.
Not know where your loved ones have gone
Unwanted, cast out, no say....
Of course, I stopped and softly spoke
You're okay now, I am here.
We'll find out just where you belong
Come with me, you're safe, don't fear.
I made all efforts to find those she loved
And missed and from whence she came,
Realizing how sad they must be too.
Somehow losing their way the same.
No one came to claim her
As unbelieveable as it seems
She pierced my heart,I need her now
I ran away with her in my dreams!
Blessed years past, she aged more rapid,
Sickness took hold but she
Held on with dignity and grace.
A living example on how to be.
I did all that a friend could do
who fell short, and so I prayed
"Please God, don't let us be apart.
I can't imagine life that way."
And anxiously, I'd talk to God
Expressing my biggest fear
Then He reminded me of how we met
As he whispered in my ear...
"My hand gently placed her there,
That day when your paths crossed.
To wait for you, you see my child
It was you that was so lost!
She was Devine, an angel
Who, watching from above
Saw YOU were the one that was in need
Of guidance, hope and love.
So she came knowing she would suffer
Because she wanted to reveal
The message she knew you needed
The one to help you Heal!
That though you were left so long ago
That you were not alone, cast out
Don't feel unwanted, never more
You belong here, and to her, no doubt."
I realize that I am not alone
And I couldn't see this all before
I am with her every day and know
at Rainbow Bridge we'll meet once more.
And I also know a purpose I'm meant for
To shepherd over my flock of "sheep"
I won't cross over as Heaven for me
Lies there, watching loved ones meet.
