Awanthi is a writer and a poet, an observer of life and humanity, and an amateur photographer and artist. She is constantly looking inside and outside of herself, she likes to be the best she can possibly be, and she is comfortable in her skin and with her place in the world, at least, most of the time. She loves animals in general and cats in particular and is owned by one, a beautiful little cat whom she adores.
She is writing a book, although she works in publishing, with the hopes of getting a toe in the door. When she's not huddled up in her cave like home office plotting her next book, she's usually huddled up in her cave like home office plotting her next book.
She loves tea and sunflowers and lighthouses and walks in the woods under moonlight and sunlight, and she is a self-confessed bookish geek with an interest in international politics. She is a gypsy, a world traveller who refuses to look at the world through rose-colored glasses. She has varied interests and has evolved into a mature person, an optimist, and a different person now as opposed to who she was ten years ago, when she was younger. Make no mistakes though--she still struggles with her identity and will not admit to any nationality, preferring to call herself a citizen of the world. If she ever finds the roots she so desperately seeks, the world will know.
My favorite color is red. Also, I tend to be a grammar pedant--be warned; if you wish to evoke my interest in you, for god's sake, respect and follow the rules of grammar.
My Philosophy
1) Life is meant to be lived. So, live.
2) All it takes sometimes, is for one person to speak up and take a stand.
What Gives Me Hope
I hope that our children will do more good for the world than we have done. Raise your children with awareness of the world and of their place in it.

Abolish the mindless slaughter and killing of innocent animals for their varied body parts, whether it is used as a fashion accessory, a vital ingredient in medicine, or as proof that one has travelled to an obscure part of the world.
