Finally found the greatest guy in the world ~ who is totally accepting of a work-aholic wife with erratic hours and a "new project" always in the works. He has expanded my life to include "leisure time" (camping, hiking and, in my case, posting on internet forums such as this one). Have one adult child and two grandchildren (K & Pre-K) with whom I play Jakx Racing Games (via Play-Station) in exchange for their playing games at MathGames for Kids, etc with me. (Hey, don't laugh ~ it works...but it was definitely more difficult for me to develop proficiency at driving those race cars while avoiding obstacles, shooting other players and deflecting incoming strikes by others than playing math games has proven to be for them.) Love life, work, family, my country, and critters of all varieties with a special soft spot for non-furry kinds (frogs, lizards, snakes, turtles) that fewer people seem to care about.
Set your goals as high as possible ~ but not out of reach. Make your own decisions in life and take responsibility for those choices. Happiness follows those who apply themselves wholeheartedly to every endeavor in life.
What Gives Me Hope
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Work to restore America to it's core principles: limited gov, the rule of law, individual liberty, personal responsibility, a free-market economy and the moral norms of Western civilization.
What/who changed my life and why
The Internet. In today's world, with a few basic skills, we can use our computers to access a vast amount of information on a seemingly limitless array of topics. Through the Internet, America has awakened. We no longer rely on a biased media to act as a watchdog for our government. We can view gov documents; evaluate impending legislation, issues, etc for ourselves ~ we can stay informed as never before.
“A constitution is not the act of a government, but of a people constituting a government; and government without a constitution is power without a right. All power exercised over a nation, must have some beginning. It must be either delegated, or assumed. There are not other sources. All delegated power is trust, and all assumed power is usurpation. Time does not alter the nature and quality of either”. Thomas Paine, 1792
