About Me I've lived in France for the last 25 years. I particularly love to travel in the Basque country, Corsica, Brittany and the Vosges mountains in Alsace. But paradise for me is the primal rain forest in the Olympic Peninsula where I have a cabin on Lake Quinault. I work in the renewable energy sector and I am also preparing a consumer's guide on eco-mobility and less polluting vehicules for the European market this coming year.

What Gives Me Hope
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Organize referendums for important questions in the community ; replace military service with a mandatory civil service for young people ; drastically cut the military budget and redirect money to health, educational and humanitarian services ; launch a "New Deal" project for renewable energies.
What/who changed my life and why I studied for 1 year at the US Air Force Academy in 1973, just before the end of the Viet-Nam war. I experienced first-hand how the military can brutally transform normal young men into sadistic, unthinking, professional killing machines.
This experience taught me to think critically about American history and the news media and ultimately changed the direction of my life.
