I've been an animal lover my entire life.  Animals of all sorts bring me joy like nothing else.  I am especially passionate about cats.  Domestic cats and of course Big Cats.  I am a fan and huge supporter of Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida...they are truly the epitome of what a non-profit, educational sanctuary should be.

I am also one of the biggest fans of the story of Christian the Lion.  I do believe it to be one of the most inspiring and beautiful true stories ever told.

I'm also very passionate about getting the facts out about the White Tiger Myth.  Here is just a little information about one very special tiger, who, along with his parents and brother were rescued from a roadside zoo in Arkansas.

This is Kenny He was born retarded with many health problems. 75-80% of ALL white tigers are born deformed or mentally impaired in some way due to the severe inbreeding it takes to create them. Kenny's parents were brother & sister. Kenny passed away from cancer in June of '08, he was only 9.

Every white tiger you see is unhealthy and suffers from crossed-eyes, various health problems and a monumentally shorter life span than regularly breed Siberian or Bengal tigers. All white tigers today are descended from a white tiger known as "Mohan"...who was captured as a cub in India in 1951...subsequent breeding of Mohan to a female tigress produced no white cubs...it wasn't until Mohan was breed to one of his own daughters that white cubs were produced.
