You are not going to agree with everything I post or write about.  At times, you may have strong feelings about my beliefs and the positions I support.  That is OK and I am fine with that.  But, over the years, I have seen Care2 change from a place of lively thought and debate to a place of hate and intolerance.  Just look at some of the headlines of the story's being posted.  Look at the photos being used for story's.  Look at some of the peoples homepage and read about their frustration of having comments deleted because people do not want to hear an opposing point of view.  Look at the number of people who have not made a post in years because of the cyber-bullies on Care2!

Another thing that you should notice is the number of members who are not bothering to post Avatars or photos of themselves.  They don't bother to have friends or develop their homepage.  If you take the time and search through people with similar interests, you will notice that they don't have friends and don't show any activity anymore.  These are all symptoms of the problems with Care2 and reflects at just how bad the Moderators have become. 

People are afraid to comment or post story's now.

The one thing that would surprise you is that, unlike others, you can actually sit down and have a calm discussion with me.  You would be surprised that I write from a perspective that includes actual training and certifications in the areas that are important to me.  That I really am an Instructor in many areas and know what I am talking about.  If I say that I know about a subject, then I do.  If you follow my posts you will notice that I will say when I don't know anything about the subject.

If you actually took the time to look through my photo album, then you would know that I know far more about pain and suffering than you could imagine.  The experiences I have had in life are not average.  I do know about hate, anger, bigotry and discrimination.  I have been around it all my life and I know it when I see it and it is very much alive and well on Care2.  If you don't believe me, just look at the comments that people have left on my board!

In skydiving, I saw discrimination and a lot of bad training, I also watched students struggle because this.  So I became a Skydive Instructor and the owner of the drop zone would have me work with people who had the most problems.  I would be sent up with students that the other Instructors didn't want to work with.  Now the other Instructors would work with the student, if the student was very cute and sexy.  They didn't have time for other students and I felt that was wrong.  So, if you have a question about skydiving, please ask and I would be more than happy to answer your questions. (I never felt the trap door effect, elevator effect or had the sensation of falling in free-fall!)

The same situation occurred with firearms.  I saw a lot of people trying to learn, while making mistakes.  The same unprofessional instructors felt a need to help a woman hold the firearm from behind.  The more sexy the woman, the more likely to be held.  I have never had an Instructor do that for me!

I became an Instructor and have helped people overcome their fear and misinformation about firearms.  I am listed on our sheriffs website as an Instructor.  I am certified as a Home Firearm Safety, Rifle and Pistol Instructor and I am a certified Range Safety Officer.  I have given private lessons to Police Officers, Deputy-Sheriffs and State Patrol Officers who asked for my help.  I have also worked with a lot of women who wanted to protect themselves.  The funny thing is that I have never had to hold any of my male or female students when teaching them how to fire a weapon.  

If you have questions about weapons or self-defense - just ask.  Now you have to notice the part about self-defense - I don't teach just firearms. 

I realize that many people on Care2 are very Anti-Gun and I am OK with that.  But when they come to my page they automatically assume the worst about me. I hope you are not that way and will keep an open mind.  My live does not revolve around weapons.  I just happen to know a lot more about the subject than people realize. 

FYI:  I do not hunt! 

What people don't realize is that my family has a long history of law enforcement.  My Dad, Uncle, Step-Brother and Cousins are, were or somehow involved with Law Enforcement or Military.  All of my training has been done by Law Enforcement including Homeland Security Officers.  I am qualified to teach people on 72 different weapons including three types of Machine Guns with suppressors.  This is why I know so much about weapons - and I am still learning.

Just please keep in mind that our lives do not revolve around weapons.  My Care2 photo album will show you a wide range of activities and interests!

I have been an Instructor in many different areas and have trained over 10,000 people.  I have worked with all kinds of personalities.  Can I teach anybody? 

No I can not! 

Some people cannot learn.  Some people don't want to learn.  Some people I will not teach, instruct or train and it is not open for discussion or debate.  I go with my instincts and feelings on this and there are people that I get a bad feeling about.  Some people will clash with my personality and when this happens, I just get them with another Instructor.  Some people just assume the worst about me and I can't do anything about that. 

I have never been asked a stupid question!

All that matters is that the person learns and is comfortable with the Instructor!

I feel that animals are a window into a persons soul.  I will know a lot about you just by spending time with your pet.  Many people have asked me to work with their pets.  I have also trained three of my cats.  I have trained parrots and dogs.  People feel that I just have a way with animals. 

Our cats will not run and hide if you came into our home.  They would come up and greet you.  All of the pets I have ever owned have done that.  I never had a dog that would bark and growl at another person.  All of the animals in my life would welcome friend and stranger a like!

On my posts, you will notice that I try to present a different perspective.  Sometimes, it is just to have people look at the situation from a broader perspective.  I am not saying that I am always correct - I just try to look at issues from all points of view.  Again, you won't agree with all that I write about and again, that is OK.  But, with all the hate and intolerance on Care2, combined with moderators who don't have any real experience, training or proper supervision, it is difficult to post now.  Care2 has taken a turn for the worse and people are afraid and angry.  But, that is just a reflection of what is going on in the world.  It is tough finding good moderators and again, if you don't believe me, read my comment board, other people have noticed what is going on Care2.

Again, I do run my own website where I keep track of eight important issues, music is posted, a blog is kept and other information that is updated almost everyday.  Please feel free to check it out.  You would be surprised at what I do think is very important.  You might even be shocked at what I see happening in the near future.  I don't believe in the end of the world.  I don't believe in doomsday or any of that other stuff.  I do feel that some very rough times are coming and the articles and links to news support this viewpoint.  I also have a Care2 group that is just starting out, please feel free to join!  Am I going to ask you to join my group over and over and over as some Care2 members do? 

I know that a lot of people like to surround themselves with like minded friends.  That is normal human behavior.  I am very different and have a tendency to accept people and their beliefs.  So if I sent a Green Star to you, that is my way of introduction.  If you have a bad feeling about me, don't feel obligated in sending a Green Star back.  I won't be offended.  If you decide to drop me as a friend, I won't be offended.  If you post a different opinion, I won't be offended.  I won't even complain about it!

So long as your beliefs don't hurt others, then I am fine with it.  I may not agree, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends.  As long as you understand that my questions are not a personal attack, then we would be good friends.

If you don't like having friends who have different beliefs.  If my posts anger you or make you very upset. If you think everybody is stupid.  If you are closed minded. If you think that I am all about self-promotion - if you are that cruel, please don't accept my friend request.  Again, please go by your gut feelings!  

Now if you like to be challenged.  If you like to learn.  If you have an open mind.  If you love debate.  If you love music.  If you can see beauty.  If you understand pain and loss.  If you can talk about things in a calm manner.  If you can listen - then I would love to have you as a friend.  Send me a friend request on Care2 and on Facebook, I will accept your friendship.

Not everybody will have the courage to do that but people like that are very rare in these times!
