I'm a very complex individual. There's no need to fear this, for it's not in a deceptive or manipulative manner in the least! If anything, it's quite the opposite in that I'm honest and sincere. I don't make a practice of telling people what I think they might want to hear to advance my agenda. (In other words, I don't "kiss booty" and I don't expect anyone to kiss mine! I'm non-judgemental, open-minded and I have a great deal of empathy and compassion for others. I'am capable of seeing things from the other peron's perspective. I have a great deal of passion for what I do and the causes in which I believe. I have NO tolerance for bullies and abusive people in general. THEY ARE the ones from whom we need protection and a good part of the reason I joined Care 2!!
I believe we need to make every effort possible to show compassion and tolerance for everyone. This includes our furry, amphibious, aquatic and reptilian friends! Respect is not comparable to a precious metal to be "earned" only after one has proven him/herself "worthy" (and often, time and again) by completing a series of sometimes impossible tasks and heroic conquests! A commodity to be allocated ever-so-sparingly and only to a "select few", deemed worthy of it! To do this is to put on a display of self- assumed superiority. To do this keeps discrimination alive and well. I'm not referring to criterion related to employment, or athleticism to be 1st string quarterback. I believe a person is still a good and worthwhile human being, regardlews of athletic. scholastic, and/or musical prowess. This also applies to those deem themselves to be the "beautiful people". To me, beauty starts on the inside and works in an outward direction. With a few known exceptions (i.e. Nazis, sadists and other "hate" groups) I prefer to respect everything and everyone until they give me reason not to do so!

Hey, I have no problem w/the fact you shared your tastes in music, and that main-stream jazz "isn't your cup of tea". Everyone has different preferences for every topic in existence. Would life be DULL, if we all looked the same, wore the same clothes, read the same books etc. etc.
I sincerely try to honor the statement on my page - "I love diversity in music, people and life in general". In which case, that truly means I love ALL styles of music--
I even like SOME hip-hop (GASP) because it CAN be poetic and expressive, when approached in the right fashion. (However, this does NOT include music which is PAINFULLY repetitive, with limited dynamics of loud, louder and loudest. To my ears, it's static and monotonous. This applies to lyrics which vocabulary is limited to obscenities, expletives, who promotes violence, glorifies criminals and objectifies women.
GOOD DAY, I AM AWARE OF MOST ALL THE ARTIST YOU LIST, HOWEVER I'M AFRAID I'M LIKE MANY AMERICANS, THE MUSIC JUST ISN'T MY CUP OF TEA. I LIKE ABOUT MOST ALL FORMS OF MUSIC, AND EVEN A FEW JAZZ PIECES, BUT JUST NOT A BIG FAN. THE ONLY OTHER STYLE I CAN'T WRAP MY MIND OR EARS AROUND IS RAP, IF ONE WANTS TO CALL IT MUSIC. I LIKE FOREIGN, NATIVE AMERICAN, CLASSICAL, HEAVY METAL, CLASSIC ROCK, COUNTRY, RYTHUM AND BLUES, SOUL, OH THE LIST GOES ON.....JUST HIT THE ONE STLYE I'M NOT BIG ON. SORRY.
