About Me	Well, I am paid to teach students about anything having to do with religion, philosophy, ethics, environmental ethics, humanities, feminist issues, etc. I like opening people up to new ideas and hopefully helping them to be more tolerant of people with different views. I also teach yoga a bit. I am generally considered a friendly, outgoing, conscientious person. I used to be quite shy, but being in front of people all day and having to entertain them while I teach has gotten me over any shyness I once had. I have been a vegetarian for about 7 years (almost 12 years without red meat). I have just went vegan...giving up cheese is incredibly difficult...but it seems the healthier my eating habits become, the more pure my body wants it's food and cheese makes it decidedly unhappy. I care about my family, my friends, the environment, animal rights, and human rights. I am passionate about music and art. I have been obsessed with graphic design, photography and painting (oil, watercolor and Japanese Sumi-e) and with learning the guitar. I wish I had a beautiful singing voice. I have tattoos. I believe Hume was right when he said that art was instrumental in attaining knowledge about Ultimate Truth; I think music especially has an incredible power to unify. I believe in the beauty of love.
