I describe myself as part child and part woman. I am inquisitive about many diverse aspects of life- like seeing through the eyes of my youth, but I am also deep and appreciate the company of others who are socially conscious and curious. I am a self-professed entertainer for my friends. I call myself their dog and pony show- I am the class clown, and the comic relief for my growing group of friends, but I also have so much empathy for the people that live in this great world that I feel the pain of it. I volunteer for Hospice so I am keenly aware of the importance of life and how truly fragile it is. I hope in some way that I have brought comfort through my work as a Massage Therapist. I am passionate about working with Seniors, the Disabled, and Hospice patients. It is important for me to play an active role as a strong advocate for these groups that have not been traditionally treated with dignity, respect, and have not been treated as viable members of our society. I love red wine, grateful and humble individuals, and for the opportunity to wake up to life and do it all over again. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...
pay it forward.. Try to live by the paradoxical commandments. People will always show you they have a darker side, but I believe in investing in finding out what brings out the light in people, and then confidently go there.
What Gives Me Hope
The belief system that we all have gifts, we all have choices of how we approach each moment that life gives to us. When we embrace the concepts then life is in my own word- Buddha-Do!
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
If I were president I would surround myself with the most open minded, clear thinking, challenging minds available and surround the world with them to build a world that we all can believe, trust, and live without limits.
What/who changed my life and why
Life in the balance by Dr.Grayboys because it is about a little known form of Dementia called Lewy Body. My Dad suffers from it and I wanted to read from the perspective of another brilliant man who has this terrible disease and who was a world renowned cardiologist, and how it has completely devastated his world and that of his family.
