I'm a kind-hearted person. I share in an animals pain, I would never harm an animal and I am disgusted by anyone who does so. I cry when any animal dies, no matter what it looks like. I think it is close-minded to view an animal as "worth saving" because of whether or not it is cute, fuzzy, or cuddly. Every animal deserves equal attention. Steve Irwin is my hero, and even though he is gone, he still inspires me to do good for the animals, and our world.
I created a club at my high school called Teens for Animal Conservation, in the hopes that I can get a group of people my age to be as passionate about helping animals and nature as I am.

What/who changed my life and why
The person who changed my life was Steve Irwin. I used to be really depressed, the only channel I ever watched on TV was Animal Planet and one day this guy they called the Crocodile Hunter came on. I thought he acted kinda crazy, but he made it interesting. He brought me out of my depression by inspiring me to want to do everything I can for the good of conservation. Even though he died, he still inspires me, and when I hear people talking bad about him, I am quick to defend his honor.
