I am what I am. For the past two years, as a field biologist, I have traveling from field job to field job working for various projects concerning the conservation of seabirds.
Now I am applying to get into graduate school to further study seabird conservation.
I like to read a lot on subjects that interest me (ecology, animal behavior, psychology, sociobiology, cosmology/astronomy, philosophy), but also enjoy sci-fi and fantasy (I find these the best fiction for exercising an important muscle in your brain- the imagination).
I try to stay informed about the goings on in the world, and not be ignorant of things that affect me, though this is a state a lot of people tend to be.
I seek to always improve myself. Morally consistent and non-hypocritical, open-minded, physically active, mentally active. Not necessarily to emulate Nietzsche's Uberman (I disagree that this is a desirable state of being), but perhaps enlightenment is a better word.
On the day you were born it was a very special day The world was blessed in a most unusual way May the magic that brought you to Earth Shine all around you on the day of your birth.
