What I Want to Do:

My words, My life
The Game

Am I distinguished now pray tell, I ask you that I not appear the fool, and
run a fools errand, for what should my delight be, should I be despised but
secretly in her eyes, for my fleeting youth has run its course, leaving that
much more substantial, more real, a man stripped bare of vanity, whos charm is
now his passion, for joie de vivre and rapturous wonder at that which is but
new, to these old eyes, youth spent looking at vanity, now replaced by vanity
looking at youth. Am I then a joke, a patsy for dangerous liasions, to be played
as a harp gently building to a crescendo, only to be left in mid air, as a note
played wrong. How does my mind drive me so mad like this, for it will end in
madness, sure enough, if I pursue only to be the night's entertainment, how such
cruelties delight, I do not know, but myself, I've partaken delighting in
others abasements, so my madness, is fear, for the gods will get their wages,
and revenge runs swiftly, and I have gambled wantonly.!
I sit frozen in fear, knowing I deserve no mercy, for no quarter I gave, even
watching fair beauty destroyed for sport, and what sport this treachery, a
laugh, a well placed giggle, humiliation that breaks more than a heart, and
once torn, it cannot be rejoined, for there is no flesh there, its been torn
away, the pack of wolves having stripped to the marrow.
I will attend, and put on my brave, but painted face, and wear my armor
across that which can't be seen, but still all to easily bruised and battered,
and I will lift my head high, hoping there are greater fools for delight, but
now I've seen her, and no longer is concern of matter, but rather not caring,
even to be flayed, for time with her would make mere pain superfluous and
inconsequential, for that is easy, when you are dealing with great beauty ,as
for instance my love, and I know that its my heart swooning for this modern day
Helen that I behold in my dreams, and inspires me, rather compels me to let her
know how my heart flutters and races, being flushed with feelings that she has
aroused in me. What would not be its worth, to loose my sight, but hold her
face forever in my mind, to lose touch, but always know her warmth, to be
bewitched and left as Job, but without the rebuke relented.
I risk all, for to just kiss her hand, is greater than all joys I've known,
and to study her lines, her form, brings the greater grace than giving all to
the poor, my beauteous rapture, my heavenly choir, my every sense delighted!
Let their knives do their worst, for I will be filled.

Love Lost

This, my pain, that would'st break thy maids in labour, I long for the eye of pity, to remove your gaze from me, for I'm broken past repair, torn assunder, hopeless but never relieved, this to be my lot, between hell and purgatory. My heart be still, the pain lets you know life, and should'st thou faileth me, what hand of the nobility shall bring me up, for thy disaffection doth wound me at the deepest place, cutting like hot knife through my limp arms as through butter, for before thee I fall down prostrate, to bear any wound or scourge that thou would'st deal me, my tongue cleaves to my spent palate, worn red by my panting for deliverance, and forgiveness by you, who knowest how to twist the garrote of your piercing hatred. Thou dost wound me most foul, and break my
spirit as thy hand doth crush a moth, spare me the agony of time, to suffer for refusal to accept that which you dealt me, for not my hand, nor the fondness of your hate shall mete out my punishment, for banishment is my incurable wound, away from my great love, cast down and out as a pigeon's dung from a gutter, that seems my worth to thee, pray I be separate from this world, since my wound is incurable. Shall thy suffering servant oh Lord of Heaven, forever be broken, bent and roughly healed, just to suffer once more, could not my life be blotted out, as if no mothers birth took place, and love had not chance to flay me raw, with thy deepest hurt, where
cautery can'st find my wound, to stem the bleeding, from which my spirit also flees me, this stain, this afterbirth detested and destined for burial in the unclean place. I carest not thou bereaving me of family and joy, for my place is with the worms, trampled upon without care, useless but for feeding fish, but you do me not this kindness, for instead my eyes I wish blinded, are forced to see my waste, and thy terror I have become. See me now and remove me from this place, for salt burns my wounds, and sorrow drains my eyes, or say thou will take not into account, should'st my hand stand against myself, the pathetic wretch I am. My name, I remember it not, make me thy destruction, for this pain burns to the lowest pit of hell and my belly swells as those from starvation, for what is breath, what is warmth, what is loveless life. Save my air, for the murderer, for surely he deserveth more than I, for none were brought lower. Tis the end of me, but alas my suffering makes me
take note, always and forever! If thou would but send fire upon me, I would be content to be the smoke of my burning, for I would be noticed, an account given, but not this nor any countenance looks upon me, for my way is not up! I AM BROKEN, nothing can bind my wounds, and I cry havoc!

Drama is life, life is Drama, a well worn overused phrase, but still, Drama is so much fun, it is the game of life, for we look deeply within, in imaginings in nether nether land, and we do wonderous things, that which we hope to emmulate if only for instances in our daily drudgery, but when we look at that which we feel as drugery, all to often, we find drama greater than that written on any page. Tis this which is the essence of living, moments of grandeur and beauty we only recognize in time, and we can dream and smile and say; yes I know life, I have lived one masterful drama! This I think is success, yes this is success!
