male, caucasian, 38, 5’9ish, 160ish, single father, entrepreneur, employed in renewable/alternative fuels, all my original teeth, half my original hair, average athletic build, above average intelligence, but probably not as smart as i think i am sometimes. competitive sailor, can’t stand mushrooms, will eat apple pie any time, mass consumer of coffee, bicycle rider, camping does not require a cabin, trailer, or microwave, don’t gamble, never smoked/no drugs... ever, crazy party/drinking days are well astern (that means behind me!), prefer adventures off the beaten path, listen to car guys on saturday mornings, no cable tv, however, can’t live without high-speed internet, lived on maui for 10 months and consider myself more spiritual than religious.
i believe that every person and moment has the potential for greatness. i believe we get in return what we put out into the universe, but doing things only with the expectation of a return is heartless. i believe people bless each other's lives. i believe that pain shared is halved and love shared is doubled. i believe that pancakes for breakfast with my daughter is a good thing, keeping one's word is non-negotiable, mean people suck, sarcasm can be smooth or rough depending on what the recipient deserves, and that physical health is a function of mental health. i also believe that as custodians of this round rock hurling through space and time, we need to be doing a better job.
What Gives Me Hope
seeing more people everyday making better decisions for a clean, healthy world
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
as supreme ruler of the planet, i would outlaw health insurance, and mandate lifetime "total wellness" programs for every person on the planet including physical fitness, mental health and whole body nutrition. then i'd make all the pharmaceutical conglomerates shift their vast resources and focus from prolonging our ailments to actually preventing them in the first place.
when that was done, i'd create the department of smart people, and start solving global problems one thing at a time.
What/who changed my life and why
wrecking my car, and walking away without a scratch. if anyone has done this, and i don't recommend it if can be avoided at any cost, you know exactly what i'm talking about.
