About Me Corporate "drop-out" fulfilling a dream. Opened the first animal rescue and free spay / neuter clinic in Peru's Amazon Region. Only animal shelter in ALL of Peru. I am a US Citizen residing in a very remote area. I wish I could have submitted more photos and descriptions, but the Internet connections here are similar to the early dial-up days when we were excited to get 33 mhz! I can't check my email often. I love getting comments, and apologize if it takes time for me to respond.

Since the charity started in 2004 we have done some major work in Peru.In 2006 I received the Kindred Spirit Award from the Doris Day Animal Foundation.

I joined the care2.com community on Sept.2. I am currently working in a different (and colder!) region of Peru, doing relief work for earthquake animal victims.

My Philosophy Never too late to follow a dream. There are two sides to every coin.
What Gives Me Hope The animals I rescue and the loving families that adopt them.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Enact MUCH stronger laws against animal abuse, puppy mill breeders, etc. An act of violence against an innocent animal is strong evidence of a violent person that will eventually progress to crimes against humans. Sentence them before they start!
What/who changed my life and why The book by Milan Kundera "The Unbearable Lightness of Being." It taught me that regret is a ridiculous emotion, as we never truly know the final outcome of our actions.
What Bugs Me rats, bats, mosquitos and big Amazon bugs, indifference, ignorance, cruelty, Chain E-Mails, arrogance, apathy, Any one that would hurt an animal, Any one that would hurt a child
