My Philosophy	I used to believe in the philosophy of "Live and Let Live" but it's become apparent to me that the majority of humans continue to be self-absorbed and apathetic to both social and environmental causes. A lot of people need a wake up call. I believe that unrestricted consumerism and laziness are dangerous. And, I dislike it when people dumb down the meaning of freedom i.e. I have the freedom to buy whatever I want regardless of the products' ethical history and effect on the environment.
What Gives Me Hope	Knowing that there are 11 million others on this website
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by	Invest in education and truly give all students equal opportunity by making all universities affordable.
What/who changed my life and why	No one book, movie, event, or person changed my life. It was a compilation of education, reading all genres of good books, watching documentaries on PBS and Discovery, being aware about news and politics, and meeting a diversity of people.
