Rhonda ... R-Radiant Spirit, H-Hippie Heart, O-Open Minded, N-Nice to be Around, D-Downright Direct, A-Always Accepting
I have strolled along the beach when the sunset is that beautiful pink/orange color (my favorite time of the day). I have enjoyed many great cajun seafood meals (and even cooked a few myself). I have seen wonderful movies that touch my heart and move my spirit. I have spent some fantastic times with family & friends... but I have yet to meet YOU. Everyday I am thankful for my life & eager to find out what is coming next. I am a free-spirit whose philosophy is: accept everyone, never give up on anyone, love even when it hurts, stay deeply connected to your spiritual self, & always remember to appreciate the little things. I have had a variety of careers ranging from computer analyst to wedding flower designer. Currently I design & sell silk florals & unique floral jewelry thru my website I am a flower child who grew up in the hippie era believing that it is better to make love, not war. I am great at making a warm environment where people feel at ease wanting to stay in the comfort of my home. I like going to festivals and listening to live music. I like antiques, big city lights & sunrises, and small country sunsets.
IMPORTANT ASPECT ABOUT ME: I am a passionate and sensual person. Even though I use a power wheelchair for mobility, I can still dance with you and hold you close. I prefer the word 'power' instead of motorized ... as in power lunches, power naps, etc, lol. This unique journey has given me power...the power to accept tough challenges & be a stronger person for it. I'm not sure if the glass is half empty or half full; but who wants a glass with only half of anything? It is within my power to fill it up.
*Note... in case you are wondering about the Mermaid... Once when asked why I am in a wheelchair, I thought I would offer a much more interesting explanation besides simply stating that I had polio as a child. So I said that I was once a Mermaid & my legs still remember my 'tale' ... LOL. My friend laughed & called me a Cajun Mermaid who I guess resides in the bayous of Louisiana ... I liked this idea, so it stuck.
Sweet, friendly, very spiritual, a heartfelt pet lover, a good & dependable friend. I like people who are not afraid to be themselves, who are a little off the normal path who see their lives as an adventure & path toward spiritual growth.
Have a rose tattoo on my left shoulder, want a nose diamond (when I get the courage, lol)
My Philosophy
Accept everyone, never give up on anybody ever, love even when it hurts & until it hurts.
What Gives Me Hope
God, my 4 great-nephews, my cats, the kindness of strangers, old people with wisdom.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Promote beauty as an appreciation of all body types including full-figured, curvy, etc. Require anger management in classrooms & MVA tests. Promote tv commercials on God, spirituality, church-going.
What/who changed my life and why
What the Bleep... affirms my belief in the idea that we are all connected, never really isolated.
Testimonial on Sep 11, 2006
Hello, my name is Sheldon Johnson, I have 2 Petitions posted on my home page to help save innocent children from being abused by children service agencies around our nation. Please read my story; Sorry about the testimonial; I ran out of introductions.
Light your candles and close your eyes, Make a wish, looking up to the skies, That your dreams and hopes all come true, And a life full of happiness comes to you.
Make sure the wish is from the heart, For deep inside it will never part. Now blow the fire out with all your strength, For only you know your own heart's length.
Light your candles and close your eyes, Make a wish looking up to the skies, For that moment I pray they all come true, That is my birthday wish to you.
Everyone in this world is different, but the people who are truly brave enough to show their differences are considered embarassing or not normal. Maybe, the 'normal' people in this world are just scared to show who they really are.
