What/who changed my life and why Becoming friends with my next door neighbors has changed my life for the better. Before we lost Elvie,she was my best friend. Elvie and her husband,George, taught me that it's the simplest of things in life, like family, friends, and love are the most important in this world. They have a very large family. But it's the fierce and the gentle way they love one another that's so amazing. They don't seem to have a whole lot in the material world, but the way they love one another is priceless. I am very fortunate for this family to call me friend. For I, too, feel some of this love. Elvie has just recently passed away and I miss her so much. She touched my life in such a special way.
