Hello! My name is Susie Flynn. With the help of the Children's Defense Fund, I am running for President of the United States because there are more than 9 million children in this country without health insurance and election officials aren't doing enough about it.

Maybe since children can't vote, they can't be represented fairly. So I thought I would show politicians that children may not be able to vote, but they can run! And if I can convince some of you that the reason I'm running - health care for all children - deserves attention, then shouldn't politicians agree?

When I first heard that more than 9 million kids can’t afford to go to the doctor or get medicine, I was very upset. Now I want to make sure everyone in America knows about this issue. There should not be a single child who can’t get the medicine they need. Our politicians need to make big changes and quickly.

If you care about children, I want to be your friend! It is terrible that we live in the richest country in the world but won’t provide health care to all children. It is time we take action and tell our leaders we will not stand for it. I have set up a petition on my website for you to sign. I want to get 9 million signatures for the 9 million children without health insurance. There’s a cool map too! Will you help me?
