I am always working out a story in my mind. I love storytelling. I like supporting businesses that are committed to social and environmental fairness and sustainable practices. I love gardening and spend a lot of my free time either writing or planting a seed. I love my cat. I got an education in international policy studies and realized after working in government that often even if you make a good argument, the fight for progressive-minded folks who see a brighter future is obstructed by so many people who are afraid of change and aren't willing to listen, and who put down people who care about how interdependent we all are. I continue to voice myself, nonetheless. I love being connected with folks who aren't afraid to stand up for fairness and fight injustices.
Four favorites: Bruce Lee: "Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one. Muhammad Ali: "The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life. Wallace Stegner: Something will have gone out of us as a people if we ever let the remaining wilderness be destroyed ... We simply need that wild country available to us, even if we never do more than drive to its edge and look in. Molly Ivins: "What you need is sustained outrage...there's far too much unthinking respect given to authority."
Dear Maria, Your "One Final Wish" story is (so far) amazing to this dog tired guy - that was just about to retire. But the journey of reading this mystical diary was an easy to begin as even a handful of your words made it instantly addictive. So now, instead, logic is forcing me retire though "One Final Wish" whispers, read on. Merci beaucoup. Stele / XOEarth. org
