What I Want to Do:

Of the Moment
PeTA is the foremost group in the animal rights movement. Understand there is a critical difference between animal rights and animal welfare. Animal welfare activists work toward ensuring the humane treatment of animals used by humans for whatever reason. Animal rights activists work toward eliminating all use of animals by people, whether for food, clothing, critical medical research, or the enjoyment of pets, and they often use violence and intimidation to acomplish these goals.

"Arson, property destruction, burglary and theft are 'acceptable crimes' when used for the animal cause." (Alex Pacheco, chairman of PETA, New York Times interview)

HSUS
According to the 1995 tax forms filed with the IRS, the HSUS claimed a budget of $38,102,167. The numbers are higher today, I have recently heard the HSUS budget has grown to $50 million, but I have no acceptable proof at this time to support that.
Wow, $38 million! Thats enough to bankroll a major humane shelter in every state, and fund massive spay/neuter programs nationwide. So how many animal shelters benefit from this huge sum? NONE. Not even one. The HSUS operates no humane shelters at all. All this work is done by local organizations which have no affiliation with the HSUS. The HSUS does however very effectively use the plight of animals and people's concern for them as a fund raising tool. The vast majority of people who contribute to the HSUS truly believe this is what the money is for. After all, look at all the sad faces on the puppies and kittens we see in the flyers we find in our mailboxes. This practice can be accurately described as fraud, possibly not legally, but at least morally. They are misleading the public by giving them the impression that their money is going for something it is not.

According to the tax forms filed by PeTA with the IRS, in fiscal 1995 they claimed a $12 million budget, 1996 saw a $10.9 million budget. Of this, $3,955 in 1995 and $6,100 in 1996 was spent on shelter programs.
Alternately, PeTA made $1,485,076 in donations. $1.3 million or 90%, of this they donated to themselves by giving it to their satellite offices in Germany, the Netherlands, and England. After their own offices, the largest donation made was $45,200 given to Rodney Coronado, an animal rights terrorist, to help his legal fight to avoid going to prison for the firebombing of medical research facilities.

One more thing. In 2006, PeTA's tax forms indicated that 90% of the animals it picked up were euthanized. The number of the animals is what exactly? Just over 1000 cats and dogs were killed. Since 2006, the numbers have decreased slightly staying at a steady pace of 600-900 each year. Also, the euthanization process used by PeTA are not legal. They are not trained vetrinarians and often have to go through illegal actions to obtian the drug. Most veteranians are dubious to give ther drugs to these people, so where do they get them? Or, how do they kill them? This is on file and even viewable ot the public.

About Me I have blue hair and I love it. I want to open a bakery some day. I am a sociology major at University of Illinois at Chicago. I love dancing, modern, modern ballet, tango, other Latin dance, and more. I also love to travel. My top 5 destinations are Argentina, Cuba, Thailand, Alaska, and Italy. I want to open a bakery! My bakery will be built as the foundations of my philosophy are. It will revolve around social justice, the environment and healthy habits! One of the things I will do at the bakery - besides baking, is help young travelers like myself. They will get a place to stay for a night or two, and mostly free food, or really cheap food. I will also help mothers in need that I work with and use the bakery as a day care as well for them.

Wild Fact About Me My nickname is 'Explicit Chaos' - dubbed to me by my friends in Indiana, which is where I'm from now. All I can talk about it politics, or some form of destruction, revolution, or anarchism, or the environment, and in sum; chaos. So it started, and then formed into one night of my best friend telling me I needed a warning label, like explicit lyrics... or more so, explicit chaos. And so it became. And now resides as a tattoo on my chest with a bio-hazard symbol beneath it. It's also how I sign my wall-art.
My Philosophy Where individualist forms of anarchism emphasize personal autonomy and the rational nature of human beings, social anarchism sees "individual freedom as conceptually connected with social equality and emphasize community and mutual aid."
Unlike individualist anarchism, which stresses the importance of private property or possession, socialist anarchism rejects private property, seeing it as a source of social inequality. Social anarchism is used to specifically describe tendencies within anarchism that have an emphasis on the communitarian and cooperative aspects of anarchist theory and practice.
What Gives Me Hope I hope that someone can give me hope, I don't know anyone personally that actually thinks my efforts are worth while. Everyone thinks I am selfish because my opinions are so strong. They don't see my passion for the world, they don't think I care about anyone else, but I don't know how to show them I do when I am stuck here at a computer instead of traveling the world and doing something. But when I travel, I again get accused of being selfish because I have the money to do that.. when truthfully I don't. I admire the poor travelers more than anyone else in the world, but I have to get a job to pay off a car, and I think when I'm done with that, I'm going to leave and travel with whatever pennies I have. Then will I be selfish? Asking for a place to stay? Oy vey.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Oh my gosh, a lot. First of all, of course, socialized medicine. Government run programs like day care... I would base a lot of my structure off of France. One of my biggest things is implementing a law that all new homes built must have solar panels, and include it in the price. After that, all homes moved out of, regulations will include having the most up to date solar technology installed. I would also absolutely get rid of Wal-Mart, and many other big corporations. It will bring back jobs to the US, force people to start making their own clothes, and for the people overseas, they will be forced to go to their government to get jobs. The communities would benefit this, because local businesses will get more money, which will circulate towards the school, churches and many other programs. I would absolutely end all overseas occupation and ACTUALLY close terrorist prison camps. The result of getting rid of the big corporations will bring a booming middle class, as example of Argentina. Putting greater focus on interior affairs and less of the external, will create a largely distributed income level through the population with smaller companies, it will reduce the size of the upper class and the lower class will have more governmental welfare programs that actually enable them to get a job and move upward on the social ladder. And of course, I would destroy the patriot act and bring freedom back to the people, let them say what they want, however they want to, let it be on the walls.
What/who changed my life and why Che Guevara. The more I learn about him the more attractive he becomes. I find myself with many similarities as Che. I also have an obsession with South American lifestyle, and latin dance. I also love learning about the 60's, and am perpetually confused as to how a generation where the norm was to defy the norm, resulted in this. Where did it go? What happened to the passion? The fight was lost by the people, and won by the government, and I still don't understand why. Also, DemocracyNow!, and Amy Goodman. And, David Rovics, singer/songwriter.
