First...I love animals, and have been working extremely hard for the wolves given their recent situations. I have friends who help me, and it is greatly appreciated. Before I get to the wildlife issue..I have been wanting to post some info on a group I have supported for many years. The HUMANE FARMING ACT !!! These guys are class acts. They are about the ONLY group who actually goes out and fights for the rights of farm animals. I am a vegetarian..and am NOT interested in hearing putdowns from Passive, lukewarm vegans, and vegetarians. IF you are active, and will fight for the welfare of these important, friendly and loving animals..write me..I'd be happy to know you. BUT..if you are one who thinks just because you do not eat meat, drink milk, etc...that you are helping to save an animals suffering, you are as ignorant as those who actually harm them. Here is the link to the HFA site..it is graphic...but I HOPE ev1 will have the guts to watch and see the suffering these animals endure so you can have a steak, chicken or porkchop! The momentary taste on your lips will account for days, hours of unbelievale suffering for these little animals whos only freakin crime was to be born.They were NOT put on this earth to feed you anymore than our wildlife was!!Greed and Evil people kill for money and sport. VERY FEW need to kill an animal for food these days, and they usually do not abuse this action.. I am NOT trying to stop the meat industry..it is WAY too much to wish for..I'd be ignorant to think it could be done. Only if everyone , everywhere stops eating meat!!! It IS however, possible to improve the conditions in which these helpless animals live. IF it bothers you..and you'd like to REALLY get involved ..let me know. Join this group..get your info by mail every month...the owners of these slaughter houses do NOT follow the rules and kill these animals humanely..why should they ..who's gonna stop them..plus, who cares???

Imagine being hit on the head and finding yourself dazed but still fully conscious. A chain is attached to one of your legs and you're hoisted upside down onto an assembly line. Gigantic clippers are used to snip off the lower parts of your arms and legs. Completely helpless, you feel workers cutting into your thighs, belly, and sides as they strip your skin from your legs to your neck....

This is what it is like for these farm animals in   these slaughter houses.
all so Mr and Mrs so and so can have a nice dinner

please let your news media (write/call them)know how you feel!! tell them this is NOT just about tainted meat!! It is about ANIMAL CRUELTY....I certainly don't want anyone sick...but people have ALWAYS had a "choice"..eat meat or not!! These animals were being taunted and hit by workers. They were already too sick to stand up...This is the real crime. Contaminated meat is also of course, but these animals keep me up at night writing/working and supporting these two farm animal groups...WOO HOO to The HUMANE SOCIETY for this video..Keep up the fight ..it must stop!!

SUPPORT THE PAW ACT...CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSMAN..simply tell him " to  CO-SPONSOR the PAW  ACT.... Bill # HR3663, (stop aerial hunting in Alaska) , and  'Please call the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Demand they  REVERSE the  "delisting of  wolves" in YELLOWSTONE and  the Northern Rocky Mountain States.  My own Congressman (4th district) stated to me in a letter that "quote" THIS IS NOT ABOUT WOLF CONTROL...BUT RATHER WOLF ERADICATION' "end quote"

OK, OK...this is not meant to be taken to the dark side of the moon...just a few thoughts at this moment in time!
  I wish animals could treat people the same way we treat them! It's time humans learn what it feels like to be harpooned and trapped.  I can imagine a tiger family filing thru the black market to find just the right human body part to make the female come into "heat" faster! Pleezzz....or the spotted kiddies of Mr. and Mrs. Leopard sporting the very latest in human skin pants...(you have it..now you know why I am called Gloomcookie)
Also..have you ever noticed how some people are very guarded about their "privacy"...they can be downright secretive about "stuff" the rest of us would feel comfortable telling a stranger!!. They must know everything about you, and I mean everything to see if you are "worthy" of their trust. Yet, they tell you straight away "I trust no one"...
 It must be exhausting to watch (guard) ones' own back every second. They sure can't watch yours being so preoccupied with their own. This flaw makes them poor friends and even worse partners. They appear to need to be in charge of everything but often respond quite the opposite. I have heard "oh, no...whatever you want is fine with me" only to find I am going to suffer later for that decision. Their inability to be "real"..and simply say what they feel/think...prevents honesty. These people are extremely concerned with what others think of them although again, they  cover it well. Rather than say "I would rather do this if it's ok with you"....it's common for them to give you what you want..seething inside all the while. There is a lot of paranoia and hard to make a relationship with difficult people.
No..I am not a know it all...And no..my late hubby was not like this. The first thing he thought of most days was how could he make MY day brighter. And he did..all he ever had to do was just be...
