One Day I hope I can open a Pit Bull Rescue! I just don't understand how people can abuse animals without a second thought or the people who just look the other way.
My puppy was recently killed by a hit and run while she was staying with some friends of mine. I was out of town. Their renter who has a dog of his own, did not put the lock on the gate earlier that day, then he came home, found both dogs out of the gate. He put them back in and when he left the second time, he forgot AGAIN to put the lock on the gate. This time ROXI got out and started walking (probably to look for me) about 3 blocks later some ass hit her and left her there to die. The only thing that I can say is comforting of this tragedy is that the next car that came saw her, picked her up and carried her to the grass and held her as she took her last breath.....She was only 2 and a wonderful companion. I miss her more than words can say. It was 2 months on 11/14/07....
