I am so thankful for all the wonderful people within China who have to witness and work to stop all the horrific cruelty happening there - it is too easy for us to sit here and say how horrible it is - but until one actually lives under such conditions, there is no possible way we can even begin to imagine it ! So to all the people out there who put down a society because of what they do - remember please all the good people there because if it were not for them, no animal would be rescued, saved, helped and homed. I love and have so much respect for each and every one of them who brave it all to save these precious lives !

It hurts so much to see these images and I'm so happy to know that many Chinese are fighting to protect these animals. I know of stories of immense courage, like that lady who sold everything she had to pay food and care for thousands of animals. Nevertheless it's important to remember that people in the West do the exact same things as the Chinese - we also cage animals their entire lives and treat them inhumanely. It's not cats and dogs, but it is pigs and cows and chickens. I see no difference from one case to the other. They are all sentient beings who fear, feel pain and anguish and wish to be free and happy. So, are Chinese people more cruel? Not really, they just extend the cruelty to species we tend to treat better - actually I think they are more coherent than us. Either you love and respect all animals, or it's more coherent that you treat them equally as food with no rights and feelings. Loving ones and eating others is just illogical.
