Inspiring Photos From Women’s Marches Around the World

On Friday, Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. While his inauguration was relatively quiet – with few top musicians performing, dozens of absent lawmakers and a meager crowd – the backlash was heard loud and clear.

In what may end up being the largest single-day protest in American history, millions of protesters gathered around the country, and beyond, to stand against the Trump administration’s far-right agenda and the xenophobic, racist, misogynistic rhetoric espoused on the campaign trail.

The Care2 team proudly participated in marches, rallies and peaceful protests. We stand in solidarity with the millions of Americans who believe in an inclusive world with human rights for all. Below is a gallery of our favorite images from rallies attended by the Care2 team.

Now that you have shown those pics, you should continue with the pics of all the trash left behind in the streets. Or doesn't that fit into your world view?

Rhoberta E - In David F's county, Austin Texas had an estimated 50,000 women marching, perhaps the largest in Texas history. They voted for Hillary 2 to 1. David F. trolls Care2 because he feels weak and helpless. His wife was probably at the march.

Darlene B......Do you agree with the comment here by another member that the march held all over the world was just "Giving bored housewives some excitement and college girls a fun outing with their friends " Or another I saw from Flynn's( now a cabinet member) son (the one responsible for "pizza and pedophiles" about Ms Clinton } that the women just wanted more " manis and pedis".
It's bad enough that trump is so inappropriate but from members here demeaning the very essence of the march in the first place is NOT acceptable to ME.

I don't think it helps to fight or demean one another. There are serious issues at stake here. I applaud the women, men, children and dogs that marched for human rights and to let Trump know that inappropriate comments and behaviour are not acceptable. Every living being on Earth has the right to live with dignity. Sadly integrity is missing and causing so much grief and suffering on Planet Earth. I hope the dialogue continues but with the intention to create a better world, not with power struggles that lead to such ugliness. I appreciate all men and women that work together respecting one another consciously doing their best to learn and grow thus creating a better world together. I will march for this any day and let Trump know that if he wants to be a good President that he learns and understands what supports life has to come first for people to live in freedom.

Karen S...Herbert seems to be a david f clone. I wonder if anyone from Texas felt compelled to march or did their chauvinistic partners keep them in line

Herbert C---What a complete MISOGYNISTIC PIG YOU ARE! "Gave bored housewives some excitement and college girls a fun outing with their friends" Listen you Tyrannosaurs Rex--There are NO bored housewives in this country anymore unless you count the ignorant Fundamentalist Women who stay at home pumping out litters of kids while their husbands are on porn sites and screwing prostitutes so they would be the very last door mats to be at the marches- I guess we can only be taken seriously and respectfully if next time we burn the damn town down- murder some people and cause millions of dollars of damage- Because otherwise you just can't figure out what its all about without violence like you men love so much---Heres a clue---WE HATE THAT FRICKING MONSTER THAT OCCUPIES THE WHITE-HOUSE AND SO DOES THE REST OF THE WORLD---
