Chat show host Bill Maher of HBO’s Real Time has recorded an It Gets Better video for bullied youth to tell them that there is life after school and to hang in there.
In the video Maher reveals that he was bullied at school for being short, but also highlights how much he was hurt by being ostracized at school.
Maher also says that he wishes that while he was at school he had gone over to fellow classmates that were ostracized and stood up for them. He asks that kids who might be watching this do what he did not and stand together with all those who are picked on because together you are stronger.
