Cain: I Believe a Third Of African Americans Would Vote For Me

Herman Cain has seen a huge surge in his polling numbers since his big Florida straw poll win.  But he’s pretty sure he can do even better.  After all, according to him, the African American population only votes Democrat because they are “brainwashed” into doing so.

Cain told CNN in an interview that, “African-Americans have been brainwashed into not being open minded, not even considering a conservative point of view…I have received some of that same vitriol simply because I am running for the Republican nomination as a conservative. So it’s just brainwashing and people not being open minded, pure and simple.”

Cain also told CNN that based on his own one on one contact, he thinks he could get a great deal of the African-American vote compared to sitting president Barack Obama.”This whole notion that all African-Americans are not going to vote for Obama is not necessarily true. I believe a third [of African-Americans] would vote for me, based on my own anecdotal feedback. Not vote for me because I’m black but because of my policies.”

Conservative pundit Pat Buchanan agrees with Cain, blaming Democrats and their “whole welfare state mentality” for any issues and struggles in the community. “John McCain got the same share of the African-American vote as David Duke got for running for Governor of Louisiana. Anyone think John McCain is a racist or an ex-klansman? That is ridiculous…I think the African-American community has embraced the Great Society liberalism which has proved devastating for the African-American families.”

The “brainwashed black” isn’t a Cain conceit, of course.  Florida Republican Allen West has been criticizing African Americans for voting for Democrats for months now, recently calling on them to “get off the plantation” and vote for conservatives instead.

Judy M., you are aware that none of us were alive 160 years ago? So, none of us did these horrible things, and are trying to hide them now? Please, come up with a relevant argument.

I do believe it is POSSIBLE that one-third of Herman Cain's African-Americans relatives might vote for him.

Wait... he's saying one-third of ALL African-Americans?

Never mind...

I have questions; SInce as I understand it people have tried to audit the FED and it just isn't happening. So how does anyone know ever exactly how much revenue has been and is collected in this country? The FED collects the funds and distributes as they see fit and are privately owned. Question: How does cain know if his 999 deal is accurate? What is he comparing it to? Real numbers? Where is he getting them from and who is giving them to him? Matter of fact how is this conversation valid without the info the Feds collect? Whose words do we trust?
And this 999 thing- the 99 percent pay tiers of taxes on every level plus consumption taxes. So what does this mean? Do we pay 9 percent per tier or divided amongst the combined tiers?
Since Mr. Cain has empathy for anyone but the 99 percent, who is he really looking out for?

Even if he were a viable candidate, I would never vote for this hypocritical, ignorant idiot because he is also a pastor and there would be a conflct of interest.

I don't know which black people. Maybe the ones with their heads in the sand as his religious camps. No one with any brains should vote for this man cain. Too bad for him; he didn't catch the act of what his audience feels about him. Cause as soon as he won florida's straw poll th They were begging chris christie to run. What a slap and he/cain didn't catch that. They were begging christie--please---- please run we-- need you desperately. Cain tows the republican line and is heartless like the typical republican party these days who are completely disinterested in the regular man's plight. I pray the regular people can recognize a fruad when you hear on. Just because you are black means you get a pass on the reall issues going on in this country. Thats the people are hurting and the republican tea party is the number one enemy.

Despite his long list of accomplishments and education, it just goes to show you that an education CAN be bought instead of earned.
