I briefly worked at an animal kennel that had three cats living there in cages, who never were allowed to roam free. Sadly, my evil employer put two cats to sleep (she will have to answer for that one day) while I was off, and called me and said “If you want the last one, take her tomorrow or she’s getting put to sleep too.”
Nothing was wrong with her! I couldn’t afford another pet, but I decided to make it work so I rescued her and then quit.
She was scared, obese and starved for attention. For so long she had been fed every day and had a clean litter box, but she’d had no attention and no area to walk around. She had been dumped there by her former owner three years prior. Her name had been Honey.
Well, now her name is Ms. Kitty — we changed it to mark her new life. She’s still quite chubby, but she is the sweetest, most lovable cat ever! She fits right in and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. More Photos Here

Thank you for sharing.
Such a cutie!
Just love a happy ending.
Sweet little girl - TY for saving her.
I hope that vile woman who ordered the killing of those two kitties finds karma around each and every corner for the rest of her miserable life.
Thank you for saving Ms. Kitty. You were her voice....kudos to you!
So wonderful that you were able to rescue Ms. Kitty as her life had certainly been cruel and not filled with milk and honey or any tender loving care. One wonders just what kind of animal kennel this woman had been running and if there are any legal requirements that kennels in this jurisdiction are required to follow.Any Animal Shelter and or kennel should certainly be inspected by regulatory bodies (unscheduled) to ensure that animals are being cared for humanely. This obviously had not taken place in this woman's case.
Our area is lucky enough to have a no kill shelter where the animals are walked in the case of dogs and the cats are given large rooms with cat trees and other structures where they spend much of their time out of any caging. Animal Kennels are another kettle of fish so to speak but certainly need to have no facilities to walk a dog or have a stretching area for for cats. Pets kept for long periods need special care, none should be stuck in a cage. , Certainly keeping a cat caged for three years is horrific!
.
The woman should be charged with cruelty and it is too bad that she is not in a state that has an animal abuse registry where abusers names, photos and other details are published along with offenders not being permitted to have any animals in their "care".
A lovely story, Bless you for helping this dear little cat and Bless her in her new and happy life! xxx

I don't know what the hell is wrong with people except that they are pure evil ! there should be a law all over the world that would not allow healthy animals to be put down. i hope that the bitch and the bastard that allowed the cat to be put down gets what they have coming. imagine if we could put people down just for being obnoxious there would not be too many people left, for example the evil twins ( they are not twins , maybe but they are evil though .)the vet and the bitch that had those 2 babies euthanized. if people can kill human babies, then what is to stop them from killing animal babies.
