Celebrities Give Voice To Dolphins’ Plight In Touching New ‘Cove’ PSA
Inspired by the Oscar-winning feature documentary The Cove, stars from film, TV and music have banded together to help save Japan’s dolphins and create awareness about marine animals kept in captivity all over the world.
Mega-stars like Jennfier Aniston, Woody Harrelson, James Gandolphini, Jason Mraz and Russell Simmons lent their voices to a new PSA, describing the dolphin as “a friend” who, despite immense intelligence and hospitality, is under attack from Japanese hunters who would seek to put it on display, or slaughter it for food.
The video is designed to get people to “Take Part,” the slogan for The Cove’s new social action initiative.

Once again, Care2 is proud to have joined forces with Ric, Dave, and the rest of the Save Japan Dolphins team to urge President Obama, Vice President Biden and Japanese Ambassador to the United States Ichiro Fujisaki to address this issue, and let the Japanese people know what is happening to dolphins in their waters.
Everyone who signs the letter will be able to have their name displayed in a widget that will be posted on top social networks, web sites and blogs in Japan. The widget will link to actions people there can take to make a difference.
Then, watch brand new PSA below, and help spread its message by posting links on your website, blog or social media profile!
