It looks like Colorado GOP senate candidate Ken Buck’s attempts to move somewhat to the middle in his senate campaign may be paying off. The latest polling has his
Via Huffington Post:
A recent Fox News/Pulse Opinion Research poll shows Republican Ken Buck with a slight edge over incumbent Democrat Michael Bennet in the race for Senate in Colorado.
The poll, which surveyed 1,000 voters, showed Buck with a 47-43 lead over Bennet, with 5% voting for another candidate, and 5% still undecided. Unaffiliated voters broke for Buck 46-41.
The 4 point lead is just slightly less than a CNN poll that has come out at the same time, which has Buck leading by 5 points, and has a slightly larger margin of error.
One place where Sen. Bennet is coming out far ahead of his challenger is among women, where he leads by 11 points according to CNN. No doubt Buck’s extreme views on rape, birth control and Colorado’s so called “Personhood Amendment,” where legal rights would be granted to fertilized eggs, have hurt him drastically among female voters.
Expect Buck to continue to temper his radical stances, especially against women, as election day draws nearer.
