Couple Whose Homecoming Kiss Went Viral Say They Hope it Helps Gay Teens

Since a picture of Sgt. Brandon Morgan kissing his partner Dalan Wells upon his homecoming to Hawaii went viral on the Internet, the couple has received a lot of well wishes. In an interview with Honolulu’s KHON2 News they want to bring the focus back to how, in reality, this is just like any other welcome-home kiss, though the couple does say they hope that their story, and particularly Brandon’s success, might send a positive message of hope to LGBT teens.

Speaking to reporters, Morgan insisted: “I’m not a hero. The heroes are the ones that paved the way for me, to allow me to do this. It’s people who fought in Congress and who fought to have equal rights who allowed me to even do this. They’ve always been my heroes. We haven’t fought for more rights or better rights than others, we fought for equal rights, and now we have them.”

you have the right to choose what you want to be, BUT a show of discretion, and common sense in public would add something in your favor..

i can't imagine how hard it must be to watch someone you love go off to war - i would want to grab my honey up too!

to those who say that marriage should be based on having children; i am a straight female who can't have children. should i be prevented from marrying?

Cheryl B. you do have an issue and that issue is the "proper" show of affection.
If a person who has been sent to a violent setting, is reunited with a person they love and spontaneously hug and kiss and jump on them, that is their real being not the soldier facade.
Children learn from what they live, if they live in an affectionate setting they will be affectionate and be secure that their affection and SHOWING affection is OK!

It isnt about them being gay.but I would never JUMP on my man with children in the room.Thats my only issue.Otherwise be happy.just some restraint with the kids around .ok. that means everyone.
