Cute Animal Video of the Day: Husky and Baby Converse

Cute Animal Video of the Day: Husky and Baby Converse

It’s hard to tell who started it, but it’s clear that the stars of today’s video have created some sort of secret baby-husky language. I wish I could understand what they’re talking about!

He sees the baby as part of his pack and they're doing just what they do, all howl together.

Folks, if you look closely at the dog, you will see that the dog is not interested in the baby but continues to stare at the human adults, the alpha animals of its 'pack'; the vocalizations are not to the baby but in fact are in competition with the baby. The dog has understood that when the baby vocalizes it gets the attention of the human adults and therefore it is trying to out-vocalize the baby in order to draw the attention of the adults to it. Notice that the dog is looks over at the baby unhappily several time and barks at it--signals that it wants the baby to stop its competing vocalizations.
