Cute Animal Video of the Day: Sea Lion Pup Flops Down, Too Tired to Reach Family

Cute Animal Video of the Day: Sea Lion Pup Flops Down, Too Tired to Reach Family

This baby sea lion does a very good post-holiday dinner impression! A seemingly small stretch of beach proves to be quite a trek for the pup, who just wants to get over to its family to take a well-earned nap.

Despite the sea lion’s “I think I can – I think I can’t” attitude, spectators report that eventually the family reunited and slept soundly for the rest of the afternoon – but not before the littlest sea lion conked out a few more times along the way. Check out the short and sweet journey here:

it's tough being wild and free as a baby pup but they do so well at being natural and in their natural habitat. Man should stay out of the way of all wild creatures and they would do just fine

poor baby

Poor little thing, if you look closely you will see that it is very definitely extremely underweight for a pup of that length. I'd say it's exhausted because it's probably slowly starving to death. Seals the world over are in danger as humans take more and more fish stocks from the water. So we're not seeing some cute baby animal that is just very tired, but a starving baby animal that has barely enough energy left even to crawl.
