Once again, I'm forced to ask myself if the majority of gatekeepers at Care2 are stupid, ignorant, or both. A lot of people come here because of the emphasis on cute animal videos. Feature a few more 'Daily Cutes' like this one and don't be surprised if you lose a quarter to half of your members. Good grief.

This is horrific. It is not in the least amusing. The reptile was terrified and defending itself.

On thinking a little more about it, leave this video up but rename it and let people see what cats are capable of doing to our wildlife. This it just the tip of the iceberg. Cats do so much damage to our wildlife; for food and for sport. So nice that the majority of people are not happy about this video.

What a horror show! Is that supposed to be cute?, as though the cat and the lizard were playing a friendly game? No, the lizard was terrified, and doing what it had to do to keep the cat from pouncing; if it had tried to run, the cat would have chased it and bitten it on the back.

This video is a good illustration of the argument that cats should never be allowed to wander loose outside the home.

I have snakes that cats have "played" with that are so damaged and have every bone in their body broken. Please take this video down. You have just proved that cats are an invasive species that are destroying our wildlife.
