I've checked out Kaleo. My first thought was that the photo under the heading was the 'wrong' kind of mynah. I've never before heard of a Common Indian mynah talking, but it turns out that's what Kaleo is! I had a link to the other mynah species, but lost it. :-( Basically the bird is entirely glossy black, with rather more bare yellow skin on the head.

Re the usual remarks about pet birds in captivity. I watched another video of Kaleo, and it seems he was rescued from the wild. @ Primasick, I understand you releasing your rescued birds, but neither of us knows the circumstances regarding Kaleo. I believe that in some countries where these mynahs have been introduced, they compete with indigenous birds, and it could be illegal to release him. It would be in the UK anyway.
