Given the veracity of the attacks on women’s rights just this year alone, it’s hard not to feel like we’re always playing defense–responding to the latest outrageous legislative over-reach or assault on established civil rights protections. And in many ways we have been, but the truth is until women and progressives start going on the offense, start actively working to change the terms of the conversation, none of these attacks are going to stop and they may only get worse.
Darcy Burner, candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Washington offers up a rousing call to action here, and what’s best of all. It’s doable.

If libs and progressives went on the offense, they would be conservatives. Its a matter of the squeaky wheel getting the grease. Conservatives squeak louder because they freak over every little thing.
The war on women is growing within a small far right community supported by the Evangelical and Catholic Churches into a major political and social issue. And this issue promises to grow larger. This vision touches on a religious archetypal base that reflects a deep subconscious attachment to certain generally accepted gender roles. This is a war on gender equality and maintaining patriarchal superiority.
Women need to take the offensive rather than battle back defensively at each law passed by Republicans, to redefine gender roles and your rightful place in society. Contraception and abortion is not just about female sexuality and control of your own bodies. It is also about family values and creating a loving and prosperous family free from the burden of extra children. It is about creating a dynamic and healthy community and nation free from the heavy burden of unwanted children. It is about redefining the feminine in a way that supports a healthier family and community.

The only war on women is the Liberals attacks on any conservative woman who dares to run for office.

The real fight is about power! My sentiments, exactly! I love the idea of the app that tells us which products in the grocery store are also good for women's rights! Women have the power! We just have to smartly use it! All women need to VOTE! If we would all stick together and do what needs to be done, we could FINALLY put a stop to the discrimination against women.
By the way, this is a long video ladies but it is in your best interests to listen to the whole thing!
