Dishwashing Cat! (Video)

Dishwashing Cat! (Video)

Most cats run away at the first sight of water and there certainly aren’t many who would rather work than take a nap.

But here’s a hilarious video of a cat that decidedly likes being around and in water. This feline apparently enjoys doing the most mundane of household chores – the washing up.

The 53-second clip shows a cute cat sitting in a sink with the tap running.

As the water falls into a dish, the animal paws away at it in an apparent attempt to scrub it clean.
After scrubbing away for about 40 seconds, the cat looks up towards its owners, who are filming and laughing.

Obviously, those owners will need to re-wash this dish, but at least it’s better than my cat Jaspar, who loved water so much that he drank it out of the toilet!

Delightful and Adorable Plus! Nothing like a feline playing in water, some love it some do not! Turkish Van cats love to swim for instance and Fishing cats are always around water to catch their fish with their paws.

As for Animalsmatter T. what grumpy side of the bed did you get out of with your pet owners are slavers comment? Oh yes, every animal should be out in the wild - well guess what, cats chose to be domesticated, they befriended man - not the other way around long ago back in history.

If I am proudly owned by my sixteen year old blind Tortishell cat who would likely be long dead if she were free and feral, is it really any skin off your behind? Some people should get off their high horses. Most people are kind to their pets/companions and they are not slave masters. I guess you probably disapprove of people eating honey as we "enslave" the bees in your world view. Go eat some broccoli and stop whining!

The cat that owns me enjoyed dashing to the toilet when it flushed as watching the water flow downwards was a riot in her opinion. She does not do this now because she is blind.

On my door I have "Mystery and her Human Servant!" Slave indeed! She rules the roost with a velvet Tortie paw!

I did enjoy.

All I could think of while watching this video was a) so much water going to waste and b) the mess this cat will create after it jumps out of the sink -- greasy watery marks everywhere. Eugh.

Bengal cats LOVE water. Must be those Tiger genes somewhere lurking ready to pounce out.
