being atypical... different in so many ways...
means a lot of rejection... for a long time in so many ways (bullying varied quite a bit; took different forms)

i hope it gets better...

it's harder when the atypicality is extra atypical... not by choice, but by circumstances out of my control... being alone, distanced by everyone, abandoned, is hard... even if i try to relate... folks may say they are okay with differences, but few can live up to their word, many having very tight limits for 'differences'.

What incredible progress we have made as a society! (not that we don't have a long, long way to go) I remember when Disney would not employ anyone they knew was gay and refused admittance to openly gay people. We have come a long way, baby!

Thank goodness for these messages. There are kids out there nearly dying for a kind word and a ray of hope. God bless all the people who have done the "it gets better" spots.

The Disney Company has come far. Walt himself was a fascist Bircher, King of Anthropomorphism, like with like, white with white, pink with pink, etc. It is encouraging to see this video and the progress made in the company since he ran it. Tolerance and compassion is good and a measure of enlightenment. Those taking pleasure from bashing these people, and others 'different' demonstrates a degree of emotional illness and trouble. So point here for Disney Co.
