European Leaders: It Gets Better! (VIDEO)

Thursday, May 17, is the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) and this year Care2 is bringing you personal stories from around the world on the fight to eliminate anti-LGBT prejudice and discrimination. For our complete coverage, please click here.

To mark International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia 2012, over 50 European politicians and leaders from across the EU have joined forces to record an It Gets Better video.

The video features Members of the European Parliament telling young LGBTs in 17 different languages, from Italian to Bulgarian and Swedish to Polish, that it does get better.

The video features appearances from Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament; Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council; and Cecilia Malmström, Andris Piebalgs, Neelie Kroes, László Andor and Viviane Reding, who are all Members of the European Commission.
