Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has recorded a video condemning bullying and saying that diversity is key in a strong community.
“When I travel the world, I try to meet with people to talk about what’s happening in their communities and countries. And one of the things I see wherever I go is that communities that foster tolerance and accept diversity tend to be more prosperous, successful, and just plain better places to live. Strong societies draw strength from the talents of women, people with disabilities, religious minorities, LGBT people and those of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. That’s just as true in the United States as it is everywhere else.”"Today, across North America, students and teachers are coming together to take a stand against bullying. Building communities of tolerance is something every person can contribute to — in your school, in your workplace, where you worship, and in the streets of your town.”
“If you see someone being bullied — speak up.”

The Secretary of State has in the past delivered strong advocacy messages regarding LGBT rights and women’s rights, and has recorded other anti-bullying messages including a video for the It Gets Better project.

Well, the unenlightened state of N.C. just took a step towards more excuses for bullying. They voted for the anti-human beings Amendment 1. An appalling vote which causes a sinking sad feeling for caring people.
Yes, we CAN. Bullying is child abuse. We need to get rid of those southern fundamentalist preachers who scream at their congregation to "punch" little boys who have "limp wrists" too.
Hang these crazy Jesus Freaks by the balls in the public square and put an end to this bullshit.
