Human Foot Sent to Conservative Party of Canada Headquarters

Late Tuesday morning, police were called to the headquarters of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) in downtown Ottawa after a suspicious package was received. The Ottawa coroner confirmed this evening that the package contained a human foot.

Major Crimes Staff Sergeant Bruce Pirt told the CBC that the package was sent via Canada Post and may have been sent as a “gruesome message”. At this time, it isn’t clear if the foot is from a male or female and police are working to figure out where it came from. The foot was in a plastic bag inside a white box adorned with a red cartoon heart. According to the Globe and Mail, once source said the box also contained a message, but a CPC spokesperson denied it.

In Montreal, a janitor discovered a human torso in a suitcase around 10:00am. There is currently no confirmed connection to the foot delivered to CPC in Ottawa, but Montreal and Ottawa police are collaborating in the event that there is any connection. Ottawa Police have also intercepted a second package containing a body part, but have not provided further details at this time.

Some of us on Care2 will remember the threads about the kitten killings (drowning & fed to a snake) posted on YouTube. This is the same guy, who now seems to have branched upward on the scale of murder - just as we said he would. What I don't get is this: If the package mailed via Canada Post had such a horrible smell, why did the postal worker at the outlet allow it to go through? How could the workers at the sorting plant allow it to go through? What about the carrier?

Do none of the Canada Post employees in Ontario have functioning noses?

I remember a number of years ago, a woman was found near Bakersfield, CA and had lost her memory and all identification etc. Because she was so polite, the authorities started looking north to Canada. Sure enough, they examined her clothing, and between that and her manners, determined that she was Canadian, from Alberta. Well I guess this very gross incident will put Canadian politeness to a severe test!
