Kitten Boxes Pit Bull (Video)

Kitten Boxes Pit Bull (Video)

What do you get when you put a pit bull and a very young kitten together?  Fear not…the answer is F-U-N!

Quite a hysterical video was placed on YouTube a couple years ago of a 2-year-old pit bull called Spike and a kitten named Visa.  With more than 3 million views, its safe to attest to its popularity.  As any pet parent of multiple species can tell you, the rambunctious actions of this dynamic duo is the price you pay for welcoming happy pit bulls and curious kitties into your home.

Well, now folks — there is a sequel!  It’s even more adorable, if you can believe that.  What do you think, do you like the original or the sequel better?

At first I was scared because it appeared that the dog was trying to eat the kitty! Visa seems to be quite the feisty one though. Very cute :)

Super-cute. The pit bull is obviously a surrogate parent to the kitten.

The videos in themselves are cute, but personally I wouldn't allow two animals of a very different size and strenght to play together, certainly not unsupervised. I saw my cats (when they were young) playing with me and being carried over by the game sometimes, becoming too rough. Without any bad intention the bigger animal could hurt the small one very badly, even kill him/her.
There is also another element to take into consideration: these people know what they are doing (I hope), but there are so many morons on this earth. The video could give the idea that such games are "always" safe, while they are not. And not because the dog is vicious, but just because there are different circumstances. The dog may not be familiar with the cat or simply not be in the mood.

And never undervalue human stupidity! It seems that Einstein said: "Only two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I am not sure of the first one".
