Hi Elizabeth,

I'm not saying you should give up on effective protest just because it is difficult. I'm saying that first, it is a lot more difficult than it looks, and if it is even possible where you live then actually boycotting them will take a lot of research. Second, the motivation for boycotting them in the first place may be severely exaggerated. The think-tanks they fund are ones which produce policy-prescriptions which they like, but that is actually standard practice (dirty, but not abnormally so) for well-funded special interests, whether corporate or communal. As for the influence attributed to them, while far more than their 0.2% of the U.S. GDP and comes from businesses built around theirs (farms which use their fertilizer, water-treatment using their filters, etc.), "far more than 0.2%" really isn't saying much. I don't think they're anywhere near as big fish as many on Care2 seem to think.

I don't like the article (never even bothered with the video) but it seeks to put the Koch brothers against seniors because they have money and some seniors don't. These pig brothers are against everyone not just seniors. Their money can only be used to insulate them from the masses and they are going to need it all to protect themselves from the masses in the coming years.

One of many relly big reasons why we must vote out the Republicans and tea-bags in November, 2012, the Kochroaches (and the roaches was another blogger idea and I like it so I'll help perpetuate with carrying it forward. Thank you and I give you the full credit you deserve for the labeling of such despicable demons.

Don; I find it interesting that you and those who think as you do, don't do anything constructive to help the country out of the economic debacle it's in but rather, attempt to divert attention from the real villains like Koch Brothers, Bush's, Wallstreet, Cheney, Haliburton, the far religious right, the far right Republicans, etc. As for the $652.00 we will have to live on; that's speculative at best because if we don't vote out the Republcan pukes and the tea-bags in the next election, that '$652.00' won't be there for those of us who've paid into social security program all the years we've worked. The Kochs would like to see all in the middle class scurrying around, mowing their lawns, cleaning their homes, scrubbing the shit from their toilet bowls (no doubt, there's a whole lot of it as well), cook for them, etc., and all without benefits of cleaning up their messes. Let the Koch brothers reign supreme in hell and their money fuel the flames around them!

They are not going to care one way or the other, they have theirs and they like looking down on the poor.
