Ann McLane Kuster just barely lost the New Hampshire Congressional race to Republican Charlie Bass in 2010, and she’s working hard to change that this time around. With Bass being dubbed “one of the most vulnerable House Republicans,” and a presidential election likely to bring more people to the polls, Kuster is hoping that the growing public distaste for incumbents in congress will lead her to victory this go around.
To that effort, she’s showing she’s getting her fundraising down pat. With $325,000 raised in the fourth quarter, the Kuster team has announced that they raised well over $1 million in 2011, and are entering election year with “well over” $800,000 cash on hand in order to battle Bass.
Kuster has some big backers behind her besides her own supporters, too. EMILY’s List, NARAL and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee have already pledged assistance. And the Progressive Change Campaign Committee already has taken swings at Bass, most recently running an ad declaring that he voted to end Medicare, a claim that Bass adamantly denied but that decided was accurate enough to leave the television ad on the air.
Bass has not yet released his fundraising number for the fourth quarter.

+ add your ownThe Republicans will lose the House, Democrats will keep the Senate, President Obama will be re-elected in 2012.
The key to the People getting what we need from our Congress and President is voting in as many Progressives as possible and then continually Telling them all what we want them to do if they wish to keep their seats. Representatives Need guidance. Give it to them!
Be Progressive, Vote Progressive!
Good luck Ann! There are a lot of us rooting for you even though many of us aren't in your district - we're in your corner.
I live in that congressional district. Whereas Charlie Bass is not perfect, he is a damn sight better than that Socialist Ann McLane Kuster.
Regardless of party, one has to question why such huge funding is needed for an election campaign. It is hardly a productive way to spend money and the requirement for such heavy spending effectively blocks people on average incomes or even slightly above average incomes from seeking political office.
One wonders why election spending for congress cannot be restricted to no more than $50,000.
I notice she neglected to put the word "dimocrat" on her campaign poster. Why would that be? A lot of dims did that in the last election. It's rather telling, I think. . . . . not to sound partisan here, or anything.
This is MY represented seat in the House. Annie has MY support. Sorry Charlie (NOT)!
BEst of all Lukc! Win Win Win ! Bass is a joke,a lways has been ..!
