Newt Writes A Check His Campaign Can’t Cash

Newt Writes A Check His Campaign Can’t Cash

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich may be the perfect candidate for president this cycle.  After all, who can better understand the economic struggle of many Americans than a man who is bouncing checks?

Gingrich is trying to cash in on Rick Santorum’s recent exit from the nomination race.  But that could get even harder now that it’s unclear if he will be on the ballot in the Utah primary.  The check his campaign wrote to pay the fee didn’t clear.

The Hill reports, “GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich might fail to appear on the Utah primary ballot after a check for the required filing fee bounced, according to media reports. The check for $500 bounced on March 27, Utah state election director Mark Thomas told ABC News, which first reported the story. ‘Our office immediately attempted to contact the campaign and the designated agent but no phone calls were returned,’ said Thomas, according to ABC.”

Hmm, maybe he had his phone lines canceled for insufficient funds, too?

Looks like Gringrich may need to start hustling more $50 photos if he plans to make ends meet for much longer.

I heard that it was from an account that they had closed. Who closes an account before all the checks have cleared??

Newt can't balance his own books-but he has a plan to balance the nation's budget. Maybe he should implement his plan for the nation on his own budget and see how it works out for him. He and the newest Mrs better apply for public assistance soon before the GOP wipes it out. Pathetic!

If he is bouncing checks here and now, I fear what he would do to the US budget..at least romney can pay for it out of pocket change.

Newt is just a symptom.

The regressive Republican Party of No is obstructionist, mean-spirited, thuggish, religiously fanatical, scientifically ignorant, corrupt, hypocritical, xenophobic, racist, sexist, homophobic, evolution and global warming denying, oily, anti-environment, anti-health, anti-consumer, anti-choice, anti-birth control, anti-education, anti-99%, union busting, Medicare mashing and Social Security slashing, fiscally irresponsible, authoritarian, selfish, greedy, out-of-touch, dishonest, lacking compassion, warmongering, and otherwise dangerous.

NEVER vote for Republicans.

This isn't the first time he's been involved in bouncing checks. Remember his time in the House.

He's probably spent all his campaign money on another woman--His wife better check that out. The older and uglier he gets the more it's going to cost him!
