Poet Performs ‘March for Me’ Tribute to LGBT Youth (VIDEO)

Watch as Minneapolis spoken word artist Tish Jones, together with gospel singer Robert Robinson, performs March for Me — A Tribute to LGBT Youth.

The piece appears in an Emmy award-winning program called “Urban Youth Poets: Quest for the Voice”. For more on that click here.

According to the Urban Youth Poet channel, the piece was written and first performed at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis to honor the Soul Force Equality Riders, a group that aims to open a dialogue with religious leaders in dedication to freedom for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people through “relentless” nonviolent resistance.
