Here’s an amazing video of an orphaned short-tailed fruit bat being hand-raised by dedicated animal lovers at Bat World Sanctuary.
The mother of the tiny bat, known as “Lil’ Drac,” was rescued after a zoo closure. The stress of this transfer caused her to abandon her baby. So Lil’ Drac was raised by Bat World Sanctuary volunteers in their headquarters in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Fascinating to see how such a tiny creature can be raised by humans.

How adorable:) Sad to think about how many bats have been destroyed by humans out of fear and spite. And how many bats were entombed and died horrid deaths when caves were boarded up? How can anyone be afraid of something so sweet and just so environmentally friendly:)
