Tell Republicans To Start Respecting Women!

There has been a lot of coverage of Linda McMahon’s affiliation with the WWE (and why women may find the footage a little, I don’t know, misogynistic), but Care2 has a disturbing new video showing just how degrading these clips are:

There’s a petition telling Republicans to reject candidates like McMahon, who made her millions by selling misogyny on national television, or Ken Buck, who told a rape victim that she just had “buyer’s remorse,” or Sharron Angle, who said that women who are raped shouldn’t be allowed to have abortions, and should simply make “a lemon situation into lemonade.”

Watching this video reminds us just how important this midterm election is – the candidates in Connecticut, Colorado and Nevada, to name just a few of the dangerously close races across the country, represent a kind of conservatism that has no respect for women and should not be allowed to govern our country.  Sign the petition and tell Republican candidates that they need to start respecting women!

Yes, the Republicans are certainly to blame for the economic crisis in the US as well as the world. I am so grateful that in Canada we don't have the Republican party, with their chauvinistic, "anti-women" backwards attitudes, though I will say that the Conservative party isn't much better here. But you have to ask yourselves why are so many people voting Republican? But then again it's well known everywhere that the elections are "rigged".

And look at this goody: The Republicans are fighting tooth and nail against a Democratic bill that would penalize companies that are sending all of our jobs overseas!! They refuse to vote for it. What does that tell you? Just what all us libs have been screaming at the sheeple.......The Repubs don't care about you, about me, about us, or the country, it's all about big business. It always has been and always will be. The Repugs are getting mega bucks from all the companies who gleefully take all our jobs overseas and then they refuse to give extended benefits to those who lose their jobs and their benefits run out and they're also fighting health care for those who don't have it. Let them all die in the street. We'll just kick them to the curb like scum.

They couldn't care less about all of us. Just power, power, power, and money, money. money. They have absolutely no new plans for the country except to take away all that we have fought for for many years and replace it with all the things they did under Bush that destroyed us and almost the rest of the world, too. I sure hope you think what you are doing if you vote Republican.

Republicans are not doing enough to respect anyone except Big Oil, Animal Agriculture and other careless wealthy groups. Republicans also perpetuate a gender based wage disparity. In my Republican state, regardless of education, women earn 62 cents compared to the average man's dollar.

the Republicans have proven themselves no better than Nazis as far as I'm concerned. They've united AGAINST the American people by
1. willfully and deliberately destroying the economy
2. eroding the rights in the Constitution
3. virtually eliminating any possibility of upward mobility.

and they're misogyny (sigh) don't even get me started on that.
they just want a modern feudal system based on credit card debt.

And as for Republican't respect for women ... why should anyone be under the impression that they have respect for women when they don't respect the voting process either! Liars, frauds, goofballs and flatulent geezers like McConnell who is against it until he's for it.
